    Jeg ved faktisk ikke engang om Brabus 6,5 har en længere slaglængde end 6,0 AMG
    Jeg kan ikke forstille mig de har kunne bore den så meget yderligere op.

    Men 6,5 Brabus M119 motoren har jeg aldrig hørt skulle have nogen problemer hvad angår tuningen og dens holdbarhed.
    Inge har da også kørt en del km. Med hans ved jeg.

    Ellers er det klart den fedeste M119 motor der har været lavet på ren sut uden blæs :mrgreen:

    OK, so numbers on that Brabus "6.5" work out to 6,409 cc, so technically it's a 6.4L engine, even though the car was badged 6.5. However, I always wondered what the bore/stroke was - now we know. Apparently Brabus developed a custom crankshaft to get the longer stroke. I assume this is a short-deck .97x block, not the .96x, since there are fitment issues with the .96x engine. On a side note... I'd still like to know what the bore & stroke is on Talbir's custom 6.3L engine. He never did post specs.

    For reference, the usual AMG and RENntech 6.0L engines have 100mm bore and 94.8mm stroke. With a 100mm bore and 100mm stroke, you'd get a 6.3L engine. To achieve 6.2L, RENNtech did it with an overbore of 102mm, using the commonly available 94.8 crank. However, I don't like having the cylinder walls that thin... I'd prefer to stay with 100mm bore, or 101mm maximum, I think 102mm is overkill. Apparently Brabus thought the same thing, or they would have made it a "real" 6.5L by punching their engine out to 102mm as well. I do like the idea of the 100mm stroke crankshaft, if it would work in the short-deck block.

    Here's a reference table with bore & stroke specs on the various M119 displacements:

    Displacement -- Bore x stroke:

    4.2L (4,196cc) = 92.0 x ??.? (stock 400E)
    5.0L (4,973cc) = 96.5 x 85.0 (stock 500E)

    5.6L (5,547cc) = 96.5 x 94.8 (5.0 block with M117 crank)
    5.8L (5,851cc) = 96.5 x 100 (5.0 block with Brabus crank)
    6.0L (5,956cc) = 100 x 94.8 (AMG & RENNtech standard stroker motor)
    6.1L (6,076cc) = 101 x 94.8 (??? - theoretical)
    6.2L (6,197cc) = 102 x 94.8 (RENNtech)
    6.3L (6,283cc) = 100 x 100 (??? - theoretical)
    6.4L (6,409cc) = 101 x 100 (Brabus, badged as "6.5")
    6.5L (6,537cc) = 102 x 100 (??? - theoretical)

    To my knowledge, the 5.8L, 6.1L, 6.3L, and 6.5L variations have never actually been built, they are theoretical. The others have all been built at least once.

    En ting er i hvert fald sikkert. M119 motoren er en ekstrem stærk motor.

    Den har de kvaler med forkæde og kædestrammer, som jeg altid anbefaler folk at få skiftet så hurtigt som muligt.
    Har selv prøvet at kæden knækket og det kostede mig en motor.. Kender flere som har samme historie med den forkæde.

    Så få skiftet den lige meget hvad.

    Normalt siger jeg alle motore er 200.000km
    Men på M119 ville jeg sige per 100.000

    Det er sådan et dumt sted at spare. En knækket kæde koster somregel en ny motor
